MHC Voorhout – A Village, a Club, a Dream!
In 1992, a passionate group of Voorhout residents turned their dream into reality by founding MHC Voorhout. What started on a simple school lawn quickly grew into a thriving field hockey club. With determination and community support, we built our first clubhouse and sand pitch at the local sports park, marking the beginning of something extraordinary.
As Voorhout and our club expanded, so did our ambitions. Within six years, we added a second sand pitch and upgraded the first to a high-quality water field. Today, MHC Voorhout is the second-largest sports club in town—only surpassed by the football club where legendary goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar began his career.
Our teams have proudly competed at both regional and national levels, achieving remarkable success in both the men’s and women’s divisions. Recognizing our growth and achievements, the municipality supported us in 2023 by upgrading our last sand pitch to a water field and adding a semi-sand field.
But MHC Voorhout is more than just a hockey club; it’s a community built on passion and teamwork. In 2018, a group of dedicated players formed our veteran team, which now competes regionally and actively contributes to club life. Their enthusiasm has taken them to international tournaments, inspiring them to take the next step: hosting our own international tournament right here in Voorhout.

The idea of the Teylingen Tulip Tournament was born and it will be realized in 2025. On the 6,7 and 8th of June international teams from all points of the compass will play in the Voorhout OPENTTT! We would like you to join the 7×7 tournament and play and party with the men, women and mixed teams from all over the globe!
